Alex gave me full creative control of this project and I couldn't be more stoked! Black and grey always provides opportunities for large areas of black contrasting with negative space to make dynamic compositions that look amazing from across the room.
This pic was taken after the second session where we added to the composition but also went back into the settled in areas to smooth out blends, add details that couldn't be added in irritated skin the first time around and best of all, doing a second pass on deep blacks to create as much contrast as possible in shaded areas.
I absolutely love working in black and grey even though the majority of my work is done in color. The aesthetic of black and grey is so important to the mood of some imagery. I love taking on projects like this to keep my sense of contrast and value fresh.
